Crappie fishing a brush pile yesterday and hooked a 10lber on 6lb line lol. What a ride, as I reached down to lip her the jig popped out. She was so tired just sat on the surface for a sec. I reached down and touched her tail as she very slowly went back down. One of the biggest bass I have ever hooked in my 40 years of fishing. Did not see her on livescope either. All though throughout the mid day I saw at least 4 huge bass while crappie fishing on livescope. I dropped several different baits down and got their attention but never a bite, it was interesting!

Caught an 8 pounder on a crappie jig, rod and reel 8 pound test line. Luckly the bass swam out of the brush pile towards open water.

I caught a 10lb’er on a pencil popper in a middle of schooling hybrids on Buchanan

12.11 lbs. Guadalupe River. Also 26" in length. Caught while fishing for crappie. The bass is the current Guadalupe River LMB weight and Catch & Release record.

As a youngster, I’d spend hours fishing for bluegills using bread in a canal behind my grandparents’ house in Florida. They would feed the fish a loaf of bread a day so the action was non-stop. During one trip, I hooked a bluegill and was reeling it in when a 7lb bass walloped the bluegill and I landed the bass. For the rest of the day, I slow played bluegills that I hooked and sure enough, caught another 7 lb bass. The weights were measured on one of those old Zebco D-Liars so no telling how much they actually weighed but they looked huge to me!

Basically have the same thing happen to me several times over the years. It's a sight to see a big bass chasing a Bluegill you are bringing in! Last week I had a nice bass in the 4 to 5 pound range let go of a Bluegill that I was bringing in, after about a three minute fight.

I’ve never not bass fished. But I’ve caught some GIANT catfish bass fishing. Lol.

I caught a 6 pounder drift fishing shad for catfish on Twok.

My buddy hooked an 8 pounder trolling for striper on PK. He hates black bass and tried to shake it off. I was like wtf are you doing?!!!

Caught a 5 striper fishing at Texoma. Just happened to look down and see my line moving off to the side. I thought it was just the boat drifting. No telling how long he had it. Was using live bait so was lucky he didn’t swallow the hook and all,

Was musky fishing with my Grandpa on the Apple River...throwing a massive buck tail inline spinner a 4 lb bass hammered it. He would get upset as we would be musky fishing and I'd still catch bass.

7.5 on chicken breast catfishing.

When I was a kid I caught a 5 pounder on a beatle spin at Ray Hubbard. This was back in the mid 70's and I caught it on a Zebco 202 with a 3ft fiberglass rod. I was around 12 years old and thought it was a world record.

I've done it but nothing major, probably about 2 pounds at the most.
