I'm picking it up today! I looked around for a prayer of blessing for a new boat. Couldn't find one I liked exactly so I fit one together from some of the ideas I got looking around. Here it is...

Almighty and everlasting God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit; who guided Noah in the building of the arc, who calmed the raging sea, we ask your blessing today on those who find great joy in the beauty of your creation. We most especially find that joy in being on the water, seeing the beauty you create each day in the rising and setting of the sun, at play with the wind and the waves. We give you thanks for eyes to see and ears to hear. We give thanks also for the invigoration of cool crisp mornings and warm nights afloat. Grant Lord that we abide with cheerfulness and a joyful spirit while aboard this vessel. Grant us fair and favorable weather on all our voyages and grant the under the shadow of your protection we always return safely to our port. Heavenly Father we commend to your care this boat and all who come aboard her. We ask your blessing on this good craft and pray that you would bear her on with favorable winds and weather; and that you would always deliver those who she carries safely home. We ask this in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, One God now and forever, Amen.

Amen. Nice prayer; however, that part about fair and favorable weather on all are voyages I would expect to get tested. Seems like God can't always get Mother Nature under his control. I pray you will always return to shore safely.
