Local dealer messed the engine up on my couple year old truck while doing warranty work, I have proof and documentation and know exactly what they did wrong, been in their shop for 2 months. I was done with the dealer an took it above their head to FCA customer care and now they are jerking me around. Put in a case over a week ago and after they found out how bad the situation was they escalated it immediately and said I would get a phone call within 24 hours. Well its a week later and no phone call yet. Requested an update on the case and they claim they tried to call me the day the ticket was opened and left a voice mail, problem is the number I gave has not voice mail so now I have customer care lying to me as well. Do I have any recourse or do I just keep hounding them? I've heard of contacting Ram Cares but they have been slow to respond as well.

I would say tough luck you bought a Chrysler product…but Ford jerked me around royally in a similar fashion. Toyota only for now on.

I hear you, always had Toyota before this and no problems. Sad deal is this truck has been rock solid too, the dealer is the one that made the mistake and its snowballed from there, I'm convinced their techs are incompetent, either that or they just don't give a damn.

A lot of companies now have separate customer care teams that handle their social media. Hit them up on facebook and twitter and anything else you can find. I've had the same problem and have read many times about it - you don't get anywhere going through regular channels but then you start getting results when you contact the people running their social media for some reason.

If you have maybe 2 or 3 channels open to them through various platforms, maybe you'll get hold of someone who can actually make some progress.

I have an old Tundra , started having a front end problem noise that wasn't consistent . Finally it got worse and I suspected either a ball joint or rack and pinion issue .
I research the recalls for Toyota and find there was a recall for ball joints . I decide to see if Toyota can help ---big mistake . Three times in the shop , with the HQ guy in Irvine telling my dealer it's a ball joint and they will pay for the part , I need to pay labor . The mechanic couldn't find anything wrong . Finally , I ask to see the mechanic , he has my truck in the shop , on those rubber compound floors , heavy metal music playing in my truck really loud , starts turning the steering wheel and looks me and the manager directly in the face and says --- he can't hear the ball joint problem . I wanted to slap him .
I have him take the truck off the rubber floors , turn the music off , turn the wheel --- and there's the ball joint cracking loud . Dumbest mechanic I have ever seen ----- and Toyota hired him .

That’s what you get for buying a truck from an Italian mini car company

Send a demand letter certified mail. That way you have piece of evidence in your back pocket.

yeah, all manufacturers have issues. I don't go to the dealer for anything these days.

If the dealer messed it up, then it's the dealer your claim will be with. FCA/Stellantis will not help you. Try bending the ear of the service manager.
