Blockage in the large intestine? Pretty serious if that is the case as most blockages are small intestine and usually cause nausea and vomitting and not a lack of BM's. Slow motility though could be a cause and depending on history and surgeries maybe slowed the muscle down. Could be neurological (remember the stomach and intestines are just constant moving muscles), could be medication induced. Narcs can mess a stomach up. If its not narcotics and just slow motility, then ya a good ol GI colonoscopy should be in his very near future to rule out any major issues.

If none of the above works, hang an onion in a knee-high nylon stocking over your bathroom door for 3 days.

Or an enema, lay on your Left side for 15 minutes after receiving it, then on your back for 15 minutes and then on the right side of 15 minutes. Wait patiently and let the magic happen. Dulcolax suppository or pill work pretty good but think those require a prescription.

My wife is good about ensuring the kids eat fiber; keeping the pipes clean is a good thing. We eat a lot of pineapple, papaya, grapes, and fiber cereal. I always add pineapple and baby spinach to my home made smoothies. Do not forget about beans in your diet.

Black coffee works for me

Men are like fish...If we'd learn to keep our mouth shut, we'd stay out of trouble.

Allsups jalapeño burger works like the stuff they give you for a colonospy. When I broke my foot and was on pain pills I took some OTC fiber laxative just in case and never had a problem. Lots of water is good too. I got dehydrated once working on friends ranch in the heat. When I finally worked the turd out I felt like I had given birth and it was larger then the drain in toilet. I had to go outside to get a stick to break it up. The landowners wife asked "what is the stick for?". I said you don't want to know.

I don't know how going two weeks is possible unless you stop eating.

My mom's idiot brother went longer than that in 2001. He was throwing up because he couldn't poop...I think it was 6 weeks of this. Ended up with a huge mass in his large intestine. 4 surgeries later he no longer has a large intestine (there was a complication when they reconnected it after removing 3 feet in an emergency surgery) and it's a direct connect from his small intestine to his exit. Now when he eats he has to visit a toilet within 20 minutes...So, yeah.
