I’m considering trading boats, looking at 1980 Vexus with Suzuki DF150ATL4… any input on these outboards?

From everything I’ve read, they are great reliable motors. Not the fastest motors made, but it’s not like you’re buying a speed boat anyways.

Solid motor, but it may be difficult finding someone qualified to service/work on them.

I have a 1996 Suzuki 150 DF
It runs great and has rarely had any issues.
With that being said, there are only 2 places that have parts and service for them in N. Texas - one in Longview and one in Roanoke.
I assume the closer to the coast you get, the more service you will find due to their prevalence as salt water engines.
PM me to let me know how it was!

I have read that propping them for peak performance on bass boats is really hard to do.
