Been getting into this more and more. Started pouring some 6" Angling AI baits. I havent weighed them yet but I would guess they are well over an oz. What rod is everyone using to throw big swimbaits. Thinking I want something strictly for this to add to the arsenal. Kind of hard on my stuff, lets make $200 the top number for a swimbait rod.

FXtreme swim bait rod works very well. I love them. Several lengths to choose from.

For treble hooked swimbaits (like most jointed hard swimbaits), a rod with a more moderate action may be preferred. iRod Genesis Jr Swim is popular for 1-4oz baits.

For single hooked swimbaits (like a Huddleston), a rod with a fast action may be preferred. The Okuma Guide Select series is a value based option.

Find a builder and have him build a North Fork Composites SWB806. Trust me
