For those that are good at fishing deep clear lakes like Texoma, PK at times, Ivie, Travis etc. do you have any tips? Seems to be my nemesis.

I despise flurocarbon but for clear water there is nothing better. I just use fluro leaders though. Cant stand the memory of a reel full of that stuff. If you have micro guides the leader knots can be a pain in the butt though. Works much better with spinning gear.

Agree on fluoro being necessary. I learned that fishing salt in Florida. Of course that’s easy compared to bass fishing lol. Almost all my rods have fluoro main line or leader.

I use fluoro leaders on my rigs. Also I try to stay as far away as I can and make long casts. Especially somewhere that gets a lot of pressure.

light line and more finesse stuff works amazing in the clear deep water. also alot of times fishing behind people they arent throwing 8lb line mini t-rig and you will catch a ton of small fish, but also a few bigs.

Are you able to hammer the hook set through a t-rig with a light line like that?

Chrome baits, no rattles, smaller spinnerbait blades, top water goes a long way...Rapala balsa baits are a must...fish moving reaction baits faster than normal so they have less time to study it.... low light times are better on average... enjoy, the fish are usually beautifully marked...

Lots of good advice above (long casts with lighter fluoro line and no rattles)
I'd add natural, translucent/clear colored plastics and cranks like hologram shad.
Then both ends of the spectrum--downsize plastics, cranks, and jerkbaits; but also big swimbaits.
In clear lakes, I do tend to throw more moving baits.

Are you able to hammer the hook set through a t-rig with a light line like that? Not like you can with heavier line. The key to light line T-rigs is light wire hooks. They penetrate faster and with less force than the heavier typical T-rig hooks. To be honest though I hate fishing a hook buried in a soft plastic with light line. I try to fish exposed hooks like on a drop shot or jig head if I can. If I just flat cant get away with a exposed hook I will try to skin hook the point in the plastic.

Lake Travis really forced me to get better at finesse fishing. I'd start by improving your neko rig and drop shot skills.
