I try to stay up with the collector car market and it is getting difficult. Every once in a while a car comes along that defies logic…at least to me. If I had the money, a million dollar+ Lexus just would not do it. Ferrari, Cobra, Hemi Cuda, L88 Corvette, yea, but a Lexus?

One of the ironies here is that the LFA didn’t sell well at all when in production.

I was at the Carmel car show several years ago . This dude casually walks up to his LFA and starts it up -- not gonna lie , if a car could have an orgasm -- this is that car .
He revved the motor several times and took off , spinning the tires a little bit .
Lexus has to fly in a mechanic to do anything on it , apparently , that service comes with the price .

If i didnt know it had a V10, I would have guessed value at 70 or 80K. Looks like a drifter or some such nonsense. Can think of much more fun ways to blow a 1MM.

A guy from Yamaha Racing brought one of these to Laguna Seca Superbike Races, years ago. Only one I ever saw in person. Still hard to fathom $1,000,000.

Base MSRP was $375k back when they were made. Average selling price now is almost $800k

Not my first choice to spend a million on, but a million doesn’t buy as much as it used to. Saw one at a Lexus dealer in Austin. Meh…..

I’ve never seen a V10 carbon fiber bodied Toyota, but I could be wrong.
