If I was a member of a criminal cartel I would be donating money to those who want background on every sale. If I can smuggle whole humans across the border I can sure as heck smuggle a few thousand guns here and there. While we are at it will those who steal guns be held to the same draconian laws as the casual seller the current mode suggests not.

Does anyone think there should be an age where it’s legal to purchase an AR? 18 seem awful young. Also shouldn’t there be gun training required. I know an elderly gentleman who wears his gun everywhere. He’s so feeble I seriously doubt he has the strength to lift it.

Didn't Obama make the straw deal illegal without going through a FFL dealer ...

You are considered an adult in almost all other aspects.

The problem with reasonable gun control is defining the word "reasonable."
I have no problem with the background checks, but I shouldn't have to have a background check conducted if I want to sell a gun to a relative or someone I know for certain will pass a background check. If I were conducting a private sale to a stranger, I'm going through an FFL dealer just to cover myself. But I don't ever plan on selling any of my guns, so I won't worry about that. They will all belong to my kids and/or grandkids one day.

You never know for certain if someone will pass. With the increasing number of stolen identities and the dark web; someone could assume an identity (name/address/dob/ssn) and commit a crime. That individual would then end up on the no sell list even if he or she had personally been an upstanding citizen his/her entire life.

No alcohol until 21. Legally. Don’t they require some gun training in the military. I believe someone would have been brave enough to enter the school if he didn’t have an AR. Why wouldn’t a cop have one?

What would a gun training class do for someone who is hellbent on shooting up a school or super market?
