How much rain came through Fork yesterday? I just looked at the water level and the lake is lower today than yesterday! I had four inches come through Lucas and was headed straight for Fork. What the heck..

Not much and Dallas pulls a lot of water from Fork.

It could hit 9-10 feet low this summer

Fork has a poor drainage and no major feeders. It just doesnt fill like people think or wish it would.
In the last 20 years, I can only think of a couple of times it has made a major overnight fill - two of those times we had 8+ inches of rain overnight.

Yea, I know it's not an overnight fill, but I would think 4" would produce a little gain, not a loss. Ha... I don't hate it down, fishing is good, just with I could use my dock same as a lot of others.

Y'all look on the bright side. All them fishy’s is going to be concentrated in a much smaller area!

Upside is the lake will have a phenomenal upswing soon after it fills up

We didn't get 4 inches. I live in white oak branch area and I dumped .75" out of my guage. It really had no impact on the lake level.

With the lake lower it’s a great time to mark where you can travel and the openings inside the timber where the fish like to feed. If it goes up 3ft running around gets dicey as lots of the timber gets just below the water line.

I've fished it on and off for the past 30 years and have kept up with its water levels for about two decades. Like someone said already, it can be painfully slow at refilling because of the upper basin not being very big.
I was on it yesterday and fished down at Cheney Creek near the dam yesterday. I got to see the repairs that were made. It looked like it was in pretty rough shape. I think one monsoon rain might have damaged it to the point it could have sprung a major leak. It DEFINETLY needed this.
