I might be heading to Lake Bonham this weekend. Anybody ever fish it? Is there some decent bass fishing there?

Yes.. if the lake is full fish the reeds and 1st break line out from them.

Good bass along the dam. I've never caught anything larger than 4 1/2 pounds out of that lake.

I might be heading to Lake Bonham this weekend. Anybody ever fish it? Is there some decent bass fishing there? We fished it for a few hours last month while passing through to another lake. This was our fist time ever fishing there. We had a fun couple of hours and was able to stick a 5 pounder. We just fished the obvious stuff but if we had a few more hours and would have looked for some offshore structure we felt confident we could have put a really nice bag together based off of what we did catch. We bought the lake sticker at a nearby gas station.

Fished Bonham on Saturday afternoon for a few hours...the lake is full but there aren't many reeds b/c it was low for so long, the water was like chocolate milk due to the recent rains, lots of pleasure boaters, and the only thing I caught was a turtle...

I caught the biggest bass of my life on Bonham Lake, 12 pounds 4 ounces. That being said, that was 12 or so years ago.
Right after that a friend of mine caught a 9+. Word got out and it got hit pretty heavy after that. Bass fishing has definitely gone down hill since then.
