Teamed up with Alan (Choclabdog) in the morning, and fished solo in the pm. We started a little b4 daybreak and fished for bass until Noon. The weathermen should not have gotten a paycheck yesterday because they were not even close on the wind forecast. However, the bass bite was good as we caught around 40, with 3 going 5 Lbs. or better. Spent most of the afternoon scouting for sunfish and ended up catching around 50. I did find some in the reedbeds, but they were mostly smaller fish...this was encouraging because the reedbed bite has been non existent for a while. Bass were mostly caught on swimbaits & Ned Rigs while all sunfish were caught on Gulp Alive 1" Minnows in watermelon pearl color. All fish released to fight another day... [Linked Image]

I saw you guys Monday coming in to Oak Thicket. We had a good day as well, 47 bass. Was hoping for more clouds.

Nice fish. Good job.

Side Note: Are the buzzards still causing problems with the parked cars?

Thanks Curtis & Pop...

Tom...The buzzards were still an issue at Park Prairie 3 weeks ago as several trucks got hit. One guy estimated $3k in damages. I have been launching at Oak Thicket for over 2 years now with no issues. I also put the "Owl" on my truck every tip & that may help as well. Also, I just read on one of the FCL forums that cleaning fish at both parks has now been prohibited. That should help immensely...

Thanks Vogey. By not allowing fish cleaning that will solve the problem.
