Hey guy's or gal's I need some help. I have a Lawrence HDS12 gen 2, no total scan box, that the sonar and down/sides can are intermittently working . They start and stop constantly. I have contacted Lawrence text support on 2 different occasions, They tried to help me do hard reset and soft reset on this unit, with no success. It does not delete all trails, and waypoints after hard reset. I have the 6.0 update ,should be the last update for it. Any advise would be appreciated. Thanks ,

Best to do a factory defaults, Go to Pages/Setting/System/Factory reset. You can also uncheck the Waypoints routes and trails but I would back those up and then check them do the entire reset.

If it has a lot of wp`s you might need to manage them away from you main memory/back them up like Larry Hutchen advised ,save them to an SD card BUT do so before you do the reset or they will be gone forever. There is an EXCELLENT video of how to do this on Youtube entitled "Waypoint management 101" It will help you out alot. FYI: don`t be afraid to purge your unit also

Updates are separate from clean up if it needs the update then do it if you can before you do the factory reset if not do it after the clean up.
