Tim, I don't know when you're supposed to get the new boat but, if you need a fix, I'll bring my rig over there and we'll see if we can scratch that itch! I can only imagine what it's like to watch the old girl drive away and not have the new one sitting there ready to go! Probably like running out of smokes for a smoker!

Geno, very gracious offer... I planned ahead. I know the boat is at Cabela's in Allen. Been there since Friday. I am out of town until Thursday night this week. I scheduled a trip striper fishing on Texoma on Friday. With any luck I will be able to pick Dock Holiday up on Saturday. Then the customization starts. It will take me a week at least to get the rigging done that I have in store. After that... the maiden voyage. So... I am thinking by June 4th we should be ready to hit the water. This is all dependent on how long it takes Cabela's to do the "dealer prep" but I can't imaging it will take more than a week. If that doesn't hold true, I will take you up on that offer.

BTW, check out this pic... This is Daniel. The new boat owner. This is his first catch. His dad said he got this along with some sandies and a crappie on their first trip out. This makes me smile...

That kid is going to have so much fun in that boat!

Knowing Tim, he will get as much joy seeing that young kid catching on his old boat as the kid.

I discovered that as well as handing the keys over to his old boat, Tim also passed on two of his old rigs to the kid. Thatโ€™s exactly what Tim would do.

What comes around goes around, and that generous gesture is what I have seen again and again from folks in this community.

Greatness.

I can probably find a bottle to christen it with... but we need to drink it instead of breaking the bottle over it! LOL

If Tim wasn't a legend before, he is now! Daniel has a real-life catfishing superhero. We have been spending every possible afternoon on the water, memories made on each outing. He has been telling everyone about his two new, professional grade catfish rods..."they are the real deal with 60lb braid and 80lb leader...." he remembers the specs better than I do.

Tim, thanks for getting a new boat and being so generous to me and my son in the process. [Linked Image]

Boggyman,

You have no idea how happy I am that you and Danial are enjoying that boat so much! I know he is gonna grow up to be a great sportsman and fisherman. I cannot wait to see him boat a toad!

Boggyman, looks like you guys are fishing Grapevine. That's my home lake and I'll be glad to share some hard earned info with you. Grapevine is a unique lake. PM me with your contact info and we'll try to meet up on the water. It's gonna be nice to see Tim's ex-rig floating around out there. I got the honor of fishing on it and I've seen it in action from afar a few times. That boat has some extra fish-catching mojo for sure! You got lucky to get that one!
