I need to do some work on my trailer hubs. I have the oil bath kind. I've watched some videos on how to change the hubs with new ones and i feel like its pretty easy. How do i know what to buy? Any advise on the entire process would be appreciated. I should mention i would like to get all new bearings too.

Also, recently i had a brake caliper completely fall off. didn't cause any damage. My bakes haven't worked in years. Is it safe to assume i could just remove the other 3 calipers and move on?

I cut my brakes off long ago. Shouldn't cause any problems, just make sure you drain/catch the brake fluid because I believe its pretty corrosive.

If your trailer is stock, you should be able to contact the manufacturer and your serial number should get you all the parts and info you need.

Yep!! EZLoader trailers suck, and the brakes work until you make the first stop after your warranty is up. Mine dont work, but I need to pull the calipers just to avoid any issues.

Marine Master is worse!! lol Mine is a complete rust bucket. My vault hubs gave out after my leaf springs snapped so I went back with all new axels, springs and hubs.

Your asking for trouble if trailer brakes are not working and you get in an accident that you caused, If trailer is required to have brakes it is Tx state law to keep them in working order. Trailer maintenance is just as if not more important than boat.

Is the serial number on the trailer somewhere?

Pull a hub and take it to a trailer supply store.
