 Elite Tournament Final Day Weigh In

Watched the final weigh in today. Other than the guy bashing Fork, all the finalists were pretty professional, which is good to see these days. Gerald Swindle had me laughing my a$$ off when he came up. I had saw (On live feed) when he caught the bass that got him within one ounce of 100#. Was there fishing with my Dad and Thursday and Friday were brutal fishing conditions with the wind for sure.

Loved Gman’s (Gerald Swindle) response to Bryan New’s hatred of lake Fork by taking a shot at New’s beloved Santee Cooper saying it is good for 16 minutes!

Swindle's comments about the Santee bite turning on for 16 minutes per year was pretty funny.

Brian New came in 6th with over 23# everyday. It would be hard to hate that.

Does anyone know if bass does a final day show. If you watched live coverage it cuts off before most of the big fish catches.

Does anyone know if bass does a final day show. If you watched live coverage it cuts off before most of the big fish catches. Their main crew does the show on FS1 until noon I believe. Then they go back to the live feed on their website for a few hours. That is for both Saturday and Sunday. They have a feed up on the website during that time but it is mainly just dead air and occasionally some of the anglers that didn't make the cut. I don't get FS1 and even if I did I am rarely at home on Saturday or Sunday morning. Personally not a big fan of they way they do things these days from a broadcast standpoint, but I understand why they do it.

If you go back to last year it was Swindle hating on fork saying he couldn’t wait to leave. I may be mistaken but I seem to recall him actually saying he hated the lake.

I liked it when Swindle said the one thing you need to take with you fishing at Lake Fork is Insurance.
