DISCLAIMER: They ain't sunfish. Sue me!  Went out to Meredith early this morning hoping to get into some slabs, crappie or walleye out of the float tube. The weather forecast wasn't good but it showed a small window of low winds. it was wrong. Way too windy for the tube but I was already at the lake. I always have catfish eqpt in the truck so I broke it out and did some bank fishing. Only had about 2 hrs to fish because I have a unit function for my NJROTC class this afternoon. The fish were really on a roll. Brought 10 or so to the bank and kept 6 for the fryer that went from about a 1 1/2 pounds to about 2 1/2. Sometimes the Bluegill are just not biting. Those will fry up nicely.  Side Note: You might want to hit your favorite lake. Athens!

The pur...fect size Kitties for eating. No suing necessary...tons of crappie/Bass/Trout/Carp/gar/Rio etc pics posted here. I think it's as much about the good people on this forum than the particular species

Last day of school is May 27 and then I have a summer trip with my ROTC kids the 2nd week of June. Then I am done until Aug. Look for some thumpin' threads from Athens about then. I really need to get to that lake! I AM HAVING SERIOUS SLAB WITHDRAWLS!
