Fished yesterday evening in it… after the last couple of months the wind doesn’t phase me anymore. I pick the best ramp possible for the wind direction and take my time moving around the lake. If a person were to say I dont fish in winds of 15 or more that person has probably not fished very many weekend days since March.

its just crazy.. big solunar major right at sunrise tomorrow but the wind is supposed to be blowing at 25 gusting to 40! If I was a young man I probably would fish but at 70 just not sure I'm up for it.

As each year passes I’m pretty sure I always say: “I don’t remember it being this hot, this cold, this dry, this rainy…..” but I’m pretty sure I’m correct when I say I don’t remember it being this windy so consistently for so long! 🤔🤷🏻‍♂️🙄 Several months now without a few consecutive days without the forecast being: “winds 20-30 w/gusts to 40”! “Wind is your friend”? Not these winds! Not MY friend! Throwing a rattletrap on a windy point w/winds of 15-20mph? Wind is “my friend”. 20-30mph w/gusts to 40? Not so much!

I just adopted the attitude that I go fishing when I can go fishing. In most cases I can find something out of the wind or at least something manageable.

It has been nuts... I pick the lake by the direction so far this year, as long as it’s not blowing the length I’ll go... OMG

Maranatha !

Learn to embrace it. As much as I hate it some of my best fishing is in the wind.

I've always heard to fish the shoreline that's getting the wind because that's where all the bait fish are getting pushed. If I'm lucky enough to feel and get a bite I'm blown on to the shore by the time I land the fish. Lately, I've had to just hide from it entirely.

After fishing 30+ years my days of running Sam Rayburn with 6 to 8 foot swells are definitely behind me but I always check the wind direction and speed and that dictates where I run on lakes and fish and other than that I don't pay much attention to it while fishing. I guess the longer you fish the more you get used to the conditions and don't fret over it. I'm ready to go this weekend and have already made a gameplan on what to do with the conditions.

Do you realize the troughs of a 6-8 foot swell could be 1.5 - 2 X deeper? So you are saying you are fishing , in a bass boat, in waves that could have 10-16 feet deep throughs?

Your gonads are large and probably hairy
