Finally got a some stable, warm weather and the bluegill were well prepared! The way the weather and the water temps had been so low, I didn't know if they were gonna try to spawn this moon, but they are definitely giving it a try! I don't know if this will be a successful spawn for them. The water temps are borderline (like 68 to 69 surface temp) and it seems like a cold, cloudy day could be detrimental, but at the same time, I don't think one chilly day will be the end of the world. Anyway, Sunny K and I got a hold of some nice, big, plump bluegills that were full of fight and ready to do their spawning duties! Hope y'all enjoy! Stay Sunny!

We appreciate, Chuck. The water temp is proving to be the real super factor up here. If the water temp is right around the new moon, they'll take their chance rather than waiting for the full moon and getting a late season cold front blast. The Good Lord built some good sense into these fish!
