It’s been a little windy this week, fishing hasn't changed much from last week's report, the water is starting to warm up.

Marlin
Very few reports of Striped Marlin, we caught and released a 90 pound striped marlin on Tuesday on Lure.

Dorado
Small ones starting to show at the Lighthouse on hoochies, we release them all to let them grow up.

Tuna
Few reports of small tuna at the Lighthouse on cedar plugs.

Wahoo
No reports.

Rooster
No reports.

Inshore
Few sierras and few white bonito at the Lighthouse on Hoochies and rapalas.

Jc’s Sportfishing Charters is a family owned and operated business and has been fishing in Cabo San Lucas for the past 18 years. Jerry, explains that his charter business is geared more for families and novice anglers, making sure everyone who charters a boat with him have a great time and lots of fun. WEATHER: The outlook for Cabo San Lucas in the two weeks ahead shows the average daytime maximum temperature will be around 29°C, with a high for the two weeks of 31°C expected on the afternoon of Monday 23rd. The mean minimum temperature will be 19°C, dipping to its lowest on the morning of Saturday 21st at 16°C. Expect the next 14 days remain predominantly dry. On the whole winds are likely to be moderate.

GARLIC BUTTER FISH RECIPE
crispy and delicious pan-fried fish fillet with garlic butter sauce. This recipes takes 20 mins. Serve alone or with pasta for a wholesome dinner.
Note: use firm white fish.

Ingredients

12 oz. (340 g) firm white fish fillet (halibut, cod or pollock fillet)
salt
ground black pepper
3 dashes cayenne pepper
2 tablespoons corn starch
2 tablespoons cooking oil
lemon wedges

Garlic butter sauce

1/2 stick (4 tablespoons) salted butter, melted
3 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 tablespoon lemon juice
1 tablespoon chopped parsley

Instructions
1. Cut the fish into pieces, not to thin for easy pan-frying. Season the fish with salt, black pepper and cayenne pepper. Coat the fish with corn starch. Set aside.
2. Prepare the Garlic Butter Sauce by mixing all the ingredients together. Set aside.
3. Heat up a skillet (preferably non-stick) on medium heat. Add the cooking oil and once the oil is heated, pan-fry the fish in a single layer until both sides turn crispy and golden brown. Use a wooden spatula or tong to gently flip the fish over. Try not to break the fish.
4. Remove the fish from the skillet and drain on paper towels. Toss the fish with the Garlic Butter Sauce and serve immediately with lemon wedges.


SUMMER TANTALIZERS
Tequila Sunrise
Lemonade is one of the most popular summer drinks.
I find the flavor of lime to be a bit brighter, and to pair with the strawberries beautifully. It’s a classic enjoyed by pretty much everyone.

Ingredients

2 ounces (4 tablespoons) tequila
4 ounces (½ cup) orange juice
¾ ounce (1 ½ tablespoons) grenadine syrup (purchased or homemade)
Ice (try our clear ice!)
For the garnish: Cocktail cherry, orange juice

Instructions

1. Fill a highball glass with ice. Pour in the tequila and orange juice and stir.
2. Pour the grenadine into center of the drink and it will sink to the bottom. Stir gently for sunrise gradient effect.
3. Garnish with an orange slice and cocktail cherry.

BEWARE: Please beware of the guys in the street selling boat charters. If you wait till the day you are fishing and go to the dock where your boat is many times people will mislead you to another boat or dock trying to put you on a boat that was not meant for you. You need to have a person guide you to your boat, who is from a reputable charter company. This way there is no confusion or misleading. Please remember when renting Sport fishing boats in Cabo that you rent your boat from reputable and established business. Walk into a fishing fleet office and ask questions about what you are getting and what are the costs. You don't want to rent boats from vendors in the streets and you do not want to book through shady websites offering you the world. Check through travel forums about reputable fishing fleets to deal with. Look for testimonials about the fleet your booking, your charter with. Ask about what will the boat be supplying? Will it include beverages or lunches? How much does it cost to fillet your catch? Check to see if charter boat is insured? Ask about getting your catch smoked? Check cost of a fishing license. These are just a few things to consider when booking your charter boat. We will be talking more about this in the next weeks fishing report.
