Sold my Nitro to buy a Ranger, to buy a Legend, to buy a Phoenix, to buy a Bass Cat, to buy a Falcon Predator, to buy a Ballistic. I think I'm done now. I hope.

I would probably look real hard at the Falcon bass boats. Big wide decks user friendly layouts. After that Charger, Skeeter and bass cat in that order
You could not give me a falcon after personally seeing a 2020 that totally delaminated on the hull. Then hearing about 5 more Falcons at a reputable fiberglass shop all for hull issues mainly lamination. For a quality built boat with fantastic customer service I dont think you can beat bassacat. Behind them would probably be phoenix and blazer

I had the opportunity to drive a Blazer 21ft at one of the Opens last fall. I was highly impressed. It was a windy rough day to. That boat was so smooth on the landing in big water. No rattle like my skeeter fx 21. The layout was really nice as well. Good solid trailer to. I have owned one of their center console boats before years ago and the build quality on it was amazing. The new Blazer bass boats are worth a look. I was just floored at how much better the ride in that boat was compared to most of the more popular brands I've been in over the last few years. It's a different beast than the Blazer bass boats from many years ago that were built like a rocket. It's still plenty fast but has the stability and deck size to go with it now.

I just bought a new Bass Cat, but if I was looking it would be Phoenix, Allison, Bullet, Ballistic and last and not Gambler I would look at...

I got my new Caymas a couple of months ago, thoroughly impressed, so if I was getting a new boat tomorrow it would be a Caymas.

That is a good list, about where I am at. Because of price for the package deal(not Apex for me), I am leaning Skeeter whenever I decide to pull the trigger. I love the new Bass Cat all except for of all things, the clear grab handle thing that looks so cheap. Dumbest thing but is bothers me!
See you on the lake and have a great day!

Here's the deal... Dad's got a 1972 Ranger, stick steering, with the original Johnson 65 on it. And miraculously hasn't missed a beat and that johnson has fired up every single time. It needs some slight fiberglass work, but still runs. If we had a penny for how many fish thats been caught outta that boat. With all that typed.. we want him to have an upgrade. A brand new boat, or year old... He obviously wants a Ranger, but we've heard Johnny Morris's Ranger is not Forrest Wood's Ranger. We've also heard many bad reviews on the Mercury Fourstroke especially compared to the SHO. So perfect world? A Ranger with a SHO... I've learned thats tough to find. So... what should we buy? What would y'all buy? I got an old school dad, and given his experience, he's a Ranger man. Thank you so much for the input and opinions. In the boat section there's 2017 Ranger with low hours, all set up and ready to fish.
