I killed two in the last year in my yard that tried to bite me and my dogs. Skinned, tanned and on a nice cedar board. Had one at our dog park and I was going to kill it but a couple of women started screaming at me. I asked them if they were going to pay the $7000 to treat one of the dogs if they get bit. Morons. I grew up playing with rattlers as a kid here and I let them be unless they are in the yard.

I should send this to the mod of the local Nextdoor site. She repeatedly bans anyone who talks about killing a snake. I never post on the site but just scan the email updates on local posts and make an occasional comment to stupid posts. The people on Nextdoor are refugees from Dallas and Houston who move out to the country and bring their liberal views out here.

I got slammed for commenting on the mod’s repeated posts about how killing snakes destroys the ecosystem. I pointed out that she destroyed the native ecosystem by paying for a lakeside home where the bulldozed trees, scraped the land, burned the brush and scorched a natural habitat in order to lay asphalt, pour concrete and build homes.
