Just wondering if anybody knows a good place to catch some perch around waxahachie. Just looking for sone bait for some flatheads. Thanks in

You can catch "perch" just about anywhere. Clark, Bluebonnet Park, Bardwell, etc.

But I'm not sure that it is legal to transport them to a different body of water to use for bait, or anything else. I don't believe that it is legal.


I'm glad there are wine drinkers in this world ..... it saves more beer for the rest of us.

The marina at high view park on lake Bardwell sells them by the dozen-
They are not large though, I like larger perch for flathead bait-

I usually make a bait trip and keep the fish alive just like the marina does, aerating a large container like a trash can, putting a portable aerator on a big cooler for transport. Easy to keep them for a week or so. Don't feed them and change the water every couple days. Why not catch them out of Waxahachie? Or the creek that runs under 35 and into Waxahachie lake.
