strong current describes all the Missouri river and except for a couple of stretches with bluffs,there isn't much to see on riverbanks except cottonwood and willow trees.....

yes but you can't trust them to mark edge of channel......Corps of engineers spent billions of dollars on this river building rock dikes and shoring up the riverbanks but river was too narrow and current too strong for towboats to navigate so with no towboat/commercial traffic,they have pretty much given up on maintaining the buoys....traveled 786 miles down the river and only saw one towboat pushing one barge and it was down near the mouth of the river where they were working on a bridge......
