I recently added a few ducks and a goose to my pond, I’ve been really surprised how peaceful it is to just sit and watch them doing duck things.
The pond is just a bit over a year old and as expected the moss was getting pretty thick, these guys are tearing through it though, really surprised by that, and thankful.
Most mornings and evenings I try to just spend a bit of time down there feeding the fish and now the ducks, very, very peaceful.
The channel cats I stocked are just about getting eating size so I’m looking forward to catching a few for dinner from my own pond-

These guys were just put in the pond today, tractor supply ducks-
They haven’t been hard to raise, but I know they will enjoy the pond more than the pen.

Yessir, in fact they got one of our older miniature collies our first year here.
We would see them randomly day or night going across the front yard or back pasture, but my daughter ( who lives next door) got a German shepherd that’s almost 2 years old now, I watched her chase several coyotes away and now we sometimes hear them in the distance but I supposed they just decided there are easier places to hunt-
LOVE that German Shepard!
Great dog-
She patrols our 20 acres on the regular-

if you see them in a pack, bring the shepherd in, 3 or more and the dog is toast. I have packs up to 20 or so out here, they will devastate the ducks in winter.

get an anatolian, they will tear up yotes big time.

pyrenese are another, yotes don't go around property they watch over, bunches of them out here.

Thanks hop but we’ll just roll with the Shepard for now, it’s been working so far, maybe I just don’t have the large packs.
I hope that doesn’t change-
