Fishing across from San Augustine park yesterday morning back in a stumpy area and passed by a boat 100 yards to my right going the opposite direction, shortly after I passed them I heard the lady saying “BABY” in a panicked voice. By the time I looked around she was screaming “please help me, he’s not breathing”. He was in the drivers seat but slumped over the side of the boat not moving, told my buddy to call 911 while we were idling to them. Before we got to them he was conscious again but leaned over the boat puking his guts up, after several minutes of puking we finally got him to move to the passenger seat and I drove his boat to San Augustine boat ramp and my buddy followed in mine. He was doing better when we got to the ramp but still not looking good. Not sure what the outcome was because we left before the ambulance got there. The lady informed me that she couldn’t really drive that boat and thanked me for the help. My wife fishes with me a lot and after that she is going to get some more boat driving and reading the GPS training to get to a ramp somewhere.

dehydrated? Its that time of year. Good thing you all crossed paths! hopefully that karma comes back to you as a DD soon! If a person loses consciousness and before or after are nauseated and/or vomiting, my guess would be a cardiac event.

good job on helping out, may have saved his life.
as for teaching wives, start with following tracks on the graph map, whole lot easier to get back to where you started.

The one funny thing about it, if there was something funny was he kept talking about the 18 pounds in the live well that he had to weigh in that afternoon.

My wife drives the boat at the ramp. I have taught her to drive on pad and navigate back to the ramp. Told her I did not want to kill over because she can only idle back to the ramp.
