Passing lanes were created to pass someone driving slower than the speed limit. If you are raging because someone is in the left lane doing 80 in a 75 and you get pissed because you can’t drive a 100, you’re a flawed guy.

I would welcome someone doing 80 in a 75. It's when they are driving 55 mph in the left hand lane on a stretch of road that is 70 mph that drives me nuts...all while talking on their phone and/or eating their McDonald's.

I had a guy shoot me the salute the other day on spid. I was headed to the island with my mom. I headed up the access lane to spid at speed. A guy decides to pass on the right and forces me out of the access lane and into the shoulder on the bridge. My mom, 82, freaks out, and I'm saying it's fine. The guy finds a way to get back into the the middle lane and shoots me the bird. Then he continues on weaving in and out of traffic on his way to Flour Bluff. We carried on to PiNS to fry fish for our brethren on the beach.

From txdot.gov Impeding the flow of traffic in the left lane is punishable by a fine of up to $200. Okies have signs on the interstates, slower traffic keep right. Texas has signs on the interstates that say left lane for passing only. within a city limit those no longer apply, only on the open road. last guy that caught me at a light had me roll my window down so he could tell me his entire vocabulary consisted of 5 4 letter words. I politely explained to him that had he got off his boyfriend and out of bed 10 mins. sooner we would not be having this conversation. while he thought about it the light turned green and I went about my day.

If it was one lane at that point what good was it to try passing him? It was two lane and he was driving 5-7 mph under the speed limit.

Notaguide I see people like you all the time, usually I pass right get back over left, do a single tap at a safe distance and right turn signal cause I assume the person is aloof. I move on because it’s a train of cars and someone else behind gets a little more aggressive with the left lane camper.

Wow! I've seen some road rage but nothing like today. I was headed into a construction area. The road goes from 2 lanes to 1. The guy in front of me is in a dually with a flat bed and full length headache rack. I honestly wasn't trying to be a jerk and it was nothing to get angry about. I couldn't see past him. I just know he's doing 40mph in a 45, so I decide to pass. I get beside him quick and there are 4-5 car lengths in front of him and a line of cars after that. I continue to pass. Well this Bozo gets butt hurt and hits the gass. I think he's bluffing so I keep going. He catches up and swerves at me several times, once hitting my side mirror. I don't know what he thought I would do. I had no where to go on my side as there is a concrete barrier to my left. We get past the one lane driving side by side. He gets in the right turn lane and I head 2 lanes over to the left. He almost hits 2 other vehicles trying to fight his way over back in front of me. He then jumps out of his truck and starts waving his arms and cussing. The whole time I have a 9mm in hand hoping he doesn't walk up to my truck because I did not want to shoot him. Finally, he speeds off. Unbelievable.  Not saying what he did was right. But if I’m understanding your story correctly, once you seen he was just driving along you should have just got back behind him.

Ramp says 45. If the speed limit on the road is 75 you need to wake up and enter the lane at about 80ish. Soo many people do not get this
