Cut tree down and had root ground. This year I am having a white, hard fungus grow from decaying roots. It come to surface and grows around all grass like big rocks. I pulled big chucks out and tried killing with 50- 60 ppm bleach water.have treated couple times but not working. I read 150 ppm kills everything but I don't want to be that extreme on that spot and keep grass from growing back. Bleach water in mulch worked great for slime fungus in wood chips. Any thoughts?

Thank you

Yes. Let it rot. It's good for the soil

Increase your nitrogen in that area. The decaying roots is pulling nitrogen from the soil to use in the decaying process. Adding supplemental nitrogen will speed up the process. I would use Ammonium Sulfate 21-0-0. Pretty easy to find at most farm/feed stores. Walk off an area so you can get an accurate square footage. Like 20x20 400sq feet. I would apply 1lb of 21-0-0 every two weeks to that area and water it in well. Would be a good idea to spread either dry or make a liquid mix of molasses to spread in that area too.

You spread the nitrogen like you would fertilizer. But now since you mention you have a hole, I would fill it in with sand and level it out. You could sod it or let the grass around it fill it in. Since you need fill in I would use a balanced fertilizer like a 13-13-13

I am letting the St. Augustine take over and its looking pretty good. I had over seeded years ago with Bermuda to get some green in. Pulled some big trees and a deck.

Overseeding Bermuda on top of St Aug is a horrible idea. Cater to the St Aug if you're liking it. Fill the hole cheapest way you can. Sand/topsoil mix, straight sand, whatever. As it decays you'll probably have to add more in the years to come to level it out best you can. Sand any dips sinks you get. If you're not on a fertilizer program I would source 13-13-13, should be easy to find. Apply it at 2lbs per 1000sq feet the first Saturday of every month April-Oct and water it in. Your St Aug will rock at that rate. Not a lot of good fungicide granular options on the market. But I would get an app of Scotts Disease EX down.
