โ€œSledgehammerโ€. Poa will die out when the heat kicks in.

(But Iโ€™m a noviceโ€ฆwait for Sir Derek to chime in.)

Sedgehammer is going to be your go to product. They sell it in easy to mix packets to mix in a one gallon sprayer with no surfactant needed. It's slow to work. You spray it and mow a few days later and you probably won't see any vertical growth, but probably won't see a total kill off for a couple weeks. Try and get this done in the morning while temps are under 85 degrees. And like most spot spraying it doesn't need a 5 second soak. Just a quick squirt and you're good. Most weed killers are designed to be blanket sprayed and not spot. That's why you just give it a light squirt as you're applying a ton of AI(Active Ingredient) to a single spot/area. The 5 second soak thinking its going to kill the weed better actually is worse for the turf.

F poa. It will die off soon. Hand pull up any you see.

Thanks Gents. Safe to use Sedgehammer in both bermuda and zoysia? Should have mentioned this in my original post!

Yeah youโ€™re good to go on both of those. Here is a link to the label.

It`s been 3 weeks since I sprayed Glyphosate on all of the KRB in my Tiffway 419 Bermuda lawn. I am surprised to see some Bermuda green up in the middle of the areas I sprayed already. I mixed some Miracle Grow(24-8-16) that my wife uses in my pump up sprayer and sprayed all of the dead and surrounding areas to see how it reacts after watering it in. If I can get the same lateral growth on the dead spots that I get around my sprinkler valve covers I will be happy. They will almost disappear if I go a month without weed eating around them. Don`t ask me how I know.

You'll be fine in a couple more weeks. Roundup kills hybrid bermuda like 419 a lot more than it does common, but you will have no problem with is filling back in. Just a little more time.

Hi Derek! Can we talk far antsโ€ฆyou know, the little ants that are mean as a stri-ped snake and bite ya?

After the recent rain I could see several far ant mounds in my lawn. I use that nasty smelling Ortho white powder stuff, it works, but they seem to just move and pop up somewhere else.

Whatโ€™s the best way to eradicate these far ants?

I have always had good luck using Amdro. Don't put it on the mound but about a foot around it so the workers carry it in.

Best stuff on the market. Spray it on the mound and when they crawl over it it kills them and every other ant they come in contact with. Also works great around the house and shop for other critters.
