Many people believe a marriage is a 50-50 relationship. This sort of thinking can lead to disaster. A proper attitude is a 100%-0% relationship. Giving of yourself 100% to your spouse and expect 0% in return. This way if you get 0% in return then you're not disappointed. If you get 10% back, you're getting 10% more than you expected. If you get 50% back, you're getting 50% more than you expected. etc.
Consider this. Jesus compares a marriage between a man and a woman to that of His relationship to the church. Jesus has given, and continues to give, 100% of himself. He's our example.
If one is not willing to give 100% of themselves to a then they are not ready for marriage.
On average, your heart beats 100,000 times a day. One day, one of those heartbeats will be your last. Then what?
The answer is found in Jesus Christ who said "I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly." John 10:10 ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
