I heard a well researched and thoughtful analysis of this problem and at some level in addition to the normal Covid and supply chain stuff a major part of the problem is our entrenched do nothing, highly paid, and handsomely benefited brain trust at our do nothing FDA. The first and second stimulus checks were also by you know who but won't repeat it. He didn't like that Congress made them $600 instead of $2000 as he requested but he went ahead and signed for it.

The good thing for me is I did not back either of them. I did not agree with any of the two checks and a large part of the give aways. You may have too but you just won't blame who was behind it, for political reasons I suspect.
