A few years ago I bought and used a couple of the newer Mitchell 300's. They were good reels until the rubberized coating on them became tacky/sticky/crappy! I have tried several ways to clean them as I'd love to use them. Just curious if anyone has a secret trick to try before I toss them!!

Thanks

Try using a rag and some rubbing alcohol. May take some good rubbing, but should do the trick.
