Fished FCL solo yesterday. The plan was to meet up with Alan (aka Choclabdog) & try and catch over 100 bass. The most we have ever caught in one day is 98 while bass fishing with my nephew on 5-18- 2012. May can be one of the best months of the year as the bass are reaching full recovery from the spawn while gorging on shad. Well...as luck would have it work issues came up and Alan couldn't make it so had to attack in solo mode. The lake is now almost at full pool at 390.83 MSL (full pool 391). The water temp was in the low to mid 80s in most areas and reaching up to 98 degrees at the discharge area. Wind was not great, but helped with the heat. Fished from 7 am to 6 pm & ended p with 87 bass & 25 sunfish. Most bass caught on Tsunami holographic swimbaits with a few caught on Ned Rigs. All Sunfish caught on Gulp Alive 1" minnows. All fish released to fight another day... [Linked Image]

Thanks Chuck & Jagg...
Zane... I would say shallow...6-12 feet deep. But it won't be long before they are at that depth only early & late in the day.
Alan...Had u been there I would have spent most of the time netting your giant fish... winking

“reaching full recovery from the spawn while gorging on shad” says it all.

This can be unbelievable fishing during this time of year and the parking lot will be empty by 11:00 am lol. Just when it starts getting good…..

Stay safe!!!
