The Palestine tourney where they upped It to 3# for the championship day was a good watch. Yep, Heavy Hitters event where they up the weight to 3# min on the final day.

I think they have mentioned in the past that they always have the choice to change the minimum weight in all BPT and Cup events.

BPT they can change but the cups stay at 1 pound since there is no practice and they don't know were they are fishing until they pull up to the ramp.

Did they once have a cup with a 1lb 4oz or 1lb 8oz minimum? I thought they moved it around like par for the course in golf depending on the quality of the fishery, even in the cup events.

As far as I can remember the cups have always been 1 pound since it changed from the 12 inch length deal in the beginning. The BPT was 1 pound the first season then went to the variable weight deal on most lakes have been 2 pounds but a few have been lowered to around a pound and half.

Pretty stoked that the company I work for is sponsoring this years Patriot Cup, I think it’s being held in Minnesota. We have a contest going where winners get a trip up there and a day of fishing with MLF pros. Customers can sign up for a random drawing to win the same prize as well.

Sorry Mark, that was my bad. Marty called me and I didn't want to oversell it too much so I aimed a bit low. I think they have mentioned in the past that they always have the choice to change the minimum weight in all BPT and Cup events.

What show is this???? How am I not seeing this? These are pre-recorded Cup events that aren't show live. They usually air them 6-8 months after they happened on whatever cable/network channel MLF has the broadcast contract with currently. They do show some of these on CBS from time to time https://majorleaguefishing.com/tv-schedule/

The show is from last fall, I saw them at the Little Elm ramp in the mornings on my way to work.
