Rob, Greg and myself fished with Jimmy of Striper Express Friday. Good to see Dave, MJ and Mark getting ready to head out. Headed out before sunrise and fished shallow topwater. Caught one then hooked another and godbye lure. No busting top but they were there. Didn't last long because it was cool clear skies and low wind. Fished sassy shad and slabs the rest of the day. Greg had the majic this day and was haulin them in. At one point we (and others) did find birds working and caught some there. . Ran into Chris as we were leaving and as always had an intertaining conversation. Thanks to Striper Express and Jimmy for a great day and a big bag of filets. Two on one topwater - Good job Rob ![[Linked Image]](https://texasfishingforum.com/forums/pics/userpics/2022/05/full-29794-138446-20220506_1126361.jpg)

That's a good day, Steve! I took 3 out if town friends on Friday also 7am to 3pm. Saw two shore lines with spawning shads action and birds early but didn't get a bite. We ended the day catching lots of sandies near Juniper point but nada stripers.
Talked to a guide fishing next to me and he said top water happened at Big Mineral early but we missed it. I am aware this top water pattern in May is fun as heck but also zero if you are not at the right spot and it gets tuff after the top water is over. Glad yall caught good fish with Jimmy! I fished next to and talked to Jimmy out on the lake in January.

I've done dual largemouth twice since moving to Texas. Never did dual stripers, yet!
