Lena horse Larry, Cliffshot, and I fished from noon until 7:15 PM and caught 206: 190 white bass, 10 yellow bass, 3 hybrids, a cat, a drum, and a crappie. All fish returned to lake. We checked out Greenville Pump Station, the bridge, Cloud Point, Sun Point, Tallman Hump, Wolf Humps, the Stump, Finger Point, and Anchor Point. We caught good numbers at 3 spots: Greenville Pump Station, Sun Point, and Finger Point. At each place, the fish were spread out - not showing up as a school or hardly at all on side-scan. But we thumped the boat bottom and that brought the fish near us and up under us. We caught all our fish on silver #4 Mepps spinners and most fishing straight down in depths from 9 fow to 20 fow. There was no surface action. The 3 hybrids went 24, 21, and 19 inches. We saw Gene, Fishboy Frank, and another friend of Gene's in a couple of places. They had started early morning and said they and several other boats had gotten into schooling fish and had caught between 10 and 20 hybrids from that action. The day was perfect for fishing - sunny and calm to light winds and not too hot. Great day fishing with good friends! Here's a couple of pics: ![[Linked Image]](https://imagizer.imageshack.com/v2/208x277q90/r/924/h4Bpyx.jpg) Cliff's big sandy is posted in SeaPro Todd's comment later in this string.

Thanks for the report, I think I'll go try them this this afternoon. I've got your Mepps tied on already.

That's a great day guys! I took 3 friends from cali to Texoma yesterday from 7am to 3pm. No stripers but we did catch lots of sandies. Larry gave me the play-by-play yesterday on bigTex...here's Chef Cliff.

Todd, thanks for posting Cliff's picture. I need to start taking more pictures. We had multiple doubles and triples, and I did not get a pic of Larry, who has mastered the Mepps technique and was pulling fish in left and right. Thanks to Larry for the 2 pics he took!

The day was mostly a vertical retrieve for me, I do not have the skill the others did/do on jigging the bait vertical but burned it up a few turns then let it fall back to the bottom which worked very well for me that day. I did try a slab a few times but not 1 bite on it, I love days like this when you know you're doing something correctly.

Good seeing you all out and about! For a Friday sure was a lot of folks fishing. Wasn't much wind so that was a challenge. But we had a great day also. Landed some big ones. And the morning schooling was a blast.
