Has anyone ever fished any of the Phosphate Lake's in Florida? Thinking about going in the fall/winter or next spring, hiring a guide and fish a couple of days, might even try out some peacock bass fishing while there. Any info on guides would be great also. Thanks!

I got a kayak guide for Peacocks. Ended up catching a a bunch of peacocks up to 4 lbs and a 6 lbs largemouth as well as a couple near 10 lbs knife fish.
I don't know if you are into kayak fishing or not but i bet I can find his name if you are. (Near Ft Lauderdale)

Captain Scott Rose is a great option. He can put you on peacocks, largemouth or even some knife fish. We fished Miami canals and the Everglades with him and had a blast.

The famous phosphate pits are called Bienville Plantation. Check out bienville.com. Very affordable. They are a blast to fish.

Bill Dance films most his shows at Mosaic phosphate pits near Central Fla and has for more than 30 years. After they mine the land their agreement with the state is to stock it with bass & bluegill. I had to opportunity to fish with him twice there. Awesome fishing but it is not open to the public.

Went with a large group of about 30 to Fish Bienville Plantation back in 2015 for 2 days, we would average 50 fish a day, they also have 5 star dinning, and skeet shooting as well. We would fish one lake in the morning, go eat lunch, then fish another in the evening. They have about 18 lakes in all. One guy on our trip even booked a Gator hunt and killed a 10' gator.
