What To Do When You Get a New Fishing Rod?

From the store or online getting a new fishing rod is exciting. I have a routine to follow so i make sure that if i purchase a factory made rod that there are no manufacturer defects. Believe me i've had some but out of respect for rod manufacturers i won't mention names or show the pics & vids of them as they did take care of me in the end.

Now if you don't follow what i do it doesn't matter. At least you're now aware of issues that maybe you weren't before you started watching this video. Just remember some factories are pumping out rods & reels by the 100's in a single day, 7 days a week. When i do discover a defect it's usually before i try it out in the field.
