vicks boatlanes is all I have used for over 12 yrs. now, the new one is updated and you need to set your graph to -6' for water offset.

be aware that even with the lanes there is stuff at this level that will put a real hurt on your day and boat.

if not familiar with fork then when out of main lanes/bouys slow down and pay attention, just because someone else runs full steam into wolf does not mean they really know where they are goin.

Lane Vick's ForkPRO with 1300+ waypoints and 5 tracks for SRA, Guide, Caution, Warning & Idle lanes.

What brand of unit?

ForkPRO has not released a HB SOLIX/APEX version at his time. SOLIX users need to be aware that Solix units "track-scrub or smooth" tracks which results in inaccurate tracks regardless if built or recorded on unit. Inaccuracy can be 1, 10 or 100's of feet. This scrubbing can also result in the track disappearing in an area at lower zoom levels. Scrubbing occurs in the display-processing. No fix from Humminbird.

I can't speak to the other chip but I have used Lance's product for 10-15 years when I come to Fork once or twice per year. Just used his new version last week and it was great. As others have said you still need to watch out but I liked his previous version and was really impressed with his newest version. I really liked the addition of lanes from the main or even guide trails to places I like to fish. I set yellow for running and red for idle only as the colors and it worked out great.

Depends on boat driving skill. Personally at -6ft:
Would run SRA & Guide tracks only. But little sections are yellow or magenta at treeline crossing, etc. Mouth of Williams widow-makers have a magenta piece.
