On our way from Dallas to Trinidad Co for my return visit and the wife's first camping trip!

Not foolish enough to want to make the drive non stop (as I did in Sept) we opted to spend last night at 3 Falls Cove and what a good choice! The place is awesome. Could've done without the night filled with severe thunderstorms and phone going off with emergency alerts about softball sized hail... but looks like we dodged that bullet. Just marble sized hail and big wind and rain.

Today after a home cooked breakfast we will make the last of the 4 drive remaining. Through the panhandle into New Mexico and then north...into Colorado.

3 Falls Cove BTW is a 10 of 10! Strongly recommend. Even has a private fishing pond...which I couldn't fully explore due to lighting being constant. But I'm told has nice big bass! Check the place out! I think you'll like it.

Looks awesome! We're going to Mueller SP again this summer. Will drive all the way to Pueblo and then finish the next day.Will look into 3 falls cove, it's probably way better than spending the night in Amarillo like we did on the way home lastyear.

It's impressive. AND only a few bucks more than a sketchy holiday Inn type place. Nice Lil fishing pond,homemade breakfast included. It was wonderful. Stay! Book early it's small, 5 rooms I think, and books up early
