Currently running interstate batts through and through… they are going downhill and we were wondering if anybody was running gel cell batts? Tia!

By “gel cell” do you mean AGM? I don’t know of anyone running gel cell batteries anymore…on anything.
If you are talking sealed glass mat batteries (AGM), there are a lot to choose from. Optima, X2, the batteries from Costco and Batteries Plus, etc.

Lots of brands and some of differences between models. Find one in your budget with the best numbers you can. Interstate even has an AGM at Costco, iirc.

Knew better than to run Interstate but have a friend who is a dealer and got me a "deal" on the biggest cranking battery they offered. It's not even two years old and is already crapping out by the end of the day.

I have a 31 AGM Pro Guide on the new boat and it's been good so far.
He without sin cast the first shiner.

Been using the Odyssey Extreme as the starting battery since the Interstate AGM battery that came on the boat crapped out. The Odyessey has been flawless. A reliable source who works for Interstate Batteries told me that Interstate hasn't got there AGM batteries to perform well. There are a few other good options as well.
