Transducers I have a XM 9 HW MSI T. Check you Helix 9 (the list of compatible transducers will tell you which ones will work with your model. What version is yours? Gen 1 ? Gen 2? / 3?
I just got a replacement for my Gen 3 from Humminbird because the temperature wouldn't read right inside the head unit. They replaced my Gen 3 for a new Gen 4 with new transducer and mount for the price of the repair they couldn't make. Got the whole thing sent in and returned new unit in less than a week. Great customer service.
If the XM 9 HW MSI T will fit your unit let me know.

I looked at Dennis' unit and the HW MSI T is not a listed transducer on his unit, so I don't think it will work.

04/21/2022: Despite the wind, I headed over to the dam to try structures in protected water. I tried Dam Ridge, Dam Drop-off, Campbell's Hump, and Dam Hump West of the Pole and nada. Then went to East Dam Hump and found a good bunch showing up on side-scan. Caught a 25 fish limit of 13 to 15-inch white bass and came back home.
04/22/2022: Wind still bad out of SE, but I went over to check Key Ranch Drop-off and marked a lot of fish. It was too rough to stop and fish so I went to the east side. I found fish in 12 to 15 fow on a point not on my map. It is just NW of the Pinnacle Clubhouse. I caught a few there including a 23-inch hybrid, then headed in. I checked out Pole Dance Point as I went by and marked good fish on it, but didn't stop to fish.

In the last three days, I have found good numbers of white bass at East Dam Hump, Staubach Hump, Long Ridge, Merimac Point, and Slide Hump.

Yesterday I picked up a couple of sandbass and a cat when I stopped at Key Ranch North, Key Ranch Drop off and Long Ridge. No real good concentrations of fish except for the bait that was stacked on the east side of Long Ridge. Then a spent some time with Dennis who was very gracious trying to help me troubleshoot my Humminbird. We think there is an issue with the side imaging in the head unit. After that I stopped by Iron Wall for a bit. I had several bumps and caught 1 crappie. My final stop was Spillway Hump. I caught 30 sandbass and 1 cat. At one point the fish were trying to school on the surface. The best depths for me seemed to be 17' to 21'. The water temp was 71F. All fish were caught using Mepps #4.
