Every morning I sweep a few dozen mostly live Junebugs from under my porch light,, have never tried them for crappie.., when you step on them they squirt a gooey liquid out, so im thinking they may be a tasty treat for crappie.. next trip out im going to bring a few and see what the crappie think abt them.

COMING SOON! .. THE STICKLE HOOK " the stay level sickle hook". sits level in the water with all knots.! Provides better hook sets and more natural jigging motion. No more adjusting the knot, gluing , or tying loop knots that cause the hook point to tangle in the loop, or worse knick the line.. The jighook that will make all others obsolete !

I’ve seen black crappie eat mayflies and grasshoppers, so I don’t see why not. Black crappie tend to have a more diverse diet, they eat crawfish, insects, minnows, etc. not saying white crappie won’t eat these things, but they do tend to be more consistent minnow/Shad eaters.

Not sure about the crappie, but if you put some peanut butter on them they taste like a peanut butter cup, without the calories! frkazoid

They will eat May flies, and run over each other for a Cricket, hard to get a bug past the little ones.
