It has been a while since I posted a report on here, so sorry about that. It has been a pretty windy spring so far and that has made fishing tough. When we have had some good weather, we have had some good fishing. Nice speckled trout, red fish and a few black drum is what we have been catching. I have been mainly fishing lower Galveston and West bay for the best results. I have also had to go to some protected areas when the wind has been blowing 20-30 mph. I have been using live shrimp under a cork for most trips and I have also thrown some soft plastics on a few outings. Hopefully the wind will die down over the next couple of days and weeks and we can get back out in the open bays and catch some nice trout on a consistent basis. The water in most areas has been dirty to off colored, but I have been able to find the better water on protected shorelines. That has been the main key for me and my customers finding and catching fish. Good news is the wind will only get lighter as we approach the summer months and that will result in limits most every day. Until next time, see you on the water!

Nice report and yes the Wind has been extreme to say the least.

Wishing you continued success as the year progresses.
