Myself with fishing buddy Jeff fished Lake Mcqueeney this past Thursday. Windy conditions limited the area we fished. We launched our kayaks from Treasure Island and fished that area along with the area by the bridge. Caught plenty of Bluegill in the 7 to 9 inch range, that were showing off their spawning colors. We fished from 10am till 3pm and easily caught over 75 fish. We kept 15 for the dinner table. Fish were all caught using Rooster Tails (White in color) with a slow retrieve and Gulp Alive Worms on a drop shot rig, got the best results . Fish were holding in dock slips and by docks in the 10 to 12 feet of water. Three bass in the 2 to 3 pound range rounded out the catch. Boat traffic was light. Good times on Mcqueeney are hard to beat.
