I cannot wait to hear all the stories about fishing in this wind and how good people are catching them.

I hate It

I battled it all day today. It sucks but the 1 positive is the lake was much less busy and the fish bit too!

I like some chop on the water.

WE gonna roll in the morning for a while; probably do more running than fishing, still trying to burn off some old gas.

Mother Nature is like Gladys Kravitz. She is always listening, and you don't want to get her wound up. Today is the day you want to go test a big center console on Tawakoni. I have seen rough water in my small area lake, which has some protection and can be fished in any winds. But some of the big boy lakes are no joke. I remember back in the 90's when a creek blew out on the upper end of Falcon. That was suprising, to say the least.

Remember, she is always watching & listening..

Yesterday the Veleno rose about 6" from the wind push.. Amazing how much water the wind can move..

Gusting to 40mph out here, I doubt many are fishing. Windiest Spring I can remember.

This wind makes me miss my old stomping grounds; north Louisiana, something fierce. It didn't matter how hard the wind blew, there were always plenty of options to get out of it and still get in a good day's fishing. Most of the lakes have enough trees in and around them to dissipate a lot of the wind on all but the main body of most lakes and even some the entire lake. You also had the option to fish bayous and rivers plus all the tributaries to them as well as tributaries to most lakes in high wind with nothing more than a ripple on them no matter how hard the wind blew. On days like today I wish I lived closer to Caddo Lake it would be mostly fishable and if I was that close, Bistineau would be in play fully.

Won a boat 2 weeks ago, 100% due to the wind. So much water coming over the bow we fished out of the back of the bait all day and the bilge pumps never stopped running lol.

I call BS, everyone knows you can't catch fish without playing the video game from the front of the boat.

I read where this is the windiest April since 1996 and 3rd windiest since April 1967.
