I've never heard of it, but I guess it's possible there is some odd wave pattern that might indicate it. And if there is, surely your doctor would order the appropriate blood tests to get a good diagnosis.

not to sure about an EKG . I had an MRI for for a hiatal hernia and the nurse showed me that I had a " fatty " liver . Too much sugars , dairy and Ice cream .Liver issues are way more common than people think

I have done two types of liver cleanses . One was done through my acupuncturists --- she put about 30 needles in various places , including two about at both ends of my liver --- approx 2 inches deep . I can not tell you how bad I needed a toilet later that night . About two days later , I felt totally fine .
More recently , I did it through a colonics type process combined with various herbs , including large amounts of Milk thistle and NAC .
Your liver can regenerate itself in approx 5 months . Dairy , sugars and HFC's really cause a lot of fatty liver issues .

My brother-in-law has fatty liver disease...he's not been able to correct his, but he also hasn't cut out his visits to Dairy Queen, or Braum's, or the Blue Bell aisle.

people won't change until they hit rock bottom . They need a Dr to tell them they have 6 months to live and then they say --" I should make some changes " .
A fatty liver can lead to an entire array of problems , not to mention a screwed up immune system .

Believe me, I know. He ended up in the hospital which is how it was discovered. He still is doing what he does, but he has cut out the alcohol, but he was never a big drinker, so...

Severe cirrhosis can cause right sided heart failure. Right sided heart failure can exhibit changes on EKG/ECG.
Severe cirrhosis is just one potential cause of right sided heart failure. Thus, the EKG/ECG changes would be a nonspecific finding that may trigger a workup to determine the cause(s) of the cardiac issues.

Can't tell you how many paracenteses we do every week, because of cirrhosis, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic.
