We are going to go tomorrow to camp & fish Last time I went (about 2yrs ago) it was still screwed up from the Water Hyacinth issue they had the year before. Spraying it & the way it covers the lake, killed out all of the lilly pads, etc. Last time I went the hydrilla was so thick you could hardly fish. Going to check it out, hopefully it has changed for the better and the pads are making a comeback.

Please let us know how you do and the condition of the lake. The last time I went, several years ago, they had killed every bit of vegetation.

Went Tuesday and there is some hydrilla about 20%. I didn't go way shallow. Lake is 2ft low. Water was lighty stained. Caught 5 on rage claws. 2.7 was largest. The alligators were out sunning.

Not bad at all, thanks for the info. How about lilly pads, have they made a comeback, it used to be covered and we would slay them early morning & late evening. You had to look very hard for gators as they would lay up in the pads and go after your frogs, been bitten off many times.

With the lake being 2 ft low alot of the pads in the north end will be dry. They put grass carp in the lake to control the hydrilla so I don't think they sprayed. Scattered pads in south half.

They had lowered lake 6 foot to do dam repairs and it’s filling back up some now.

Good info, going to hit it late this evening and be out before the sun cracks tomorrow. Thanks again.
