I’ve never been on this lake (other than kayaking around the state park one day). Going to fish It once the kids get out of school though. Any pointers for that time of year?

Steeper main lake rocky bank with a square bill or walking bait, you'll probably catch one of every species in the lake.

Re-schedule for November, love that lake in the fall, early winter. I was there as a marshall for the Elite series event in June a few back and although it didn't get won out of there most of the field was in Catfish.

Be careful, some big boats on that lake and lots of recreational stuff going on. Big wakes can come out of no where when running the lake and next thing you know you are airborne.
Catfish is good and the dam is also a good place for general areas. Several marinas you can find them on as well.
Secondary rocky points with a square bill will also get you bit in shad colors.
Early top water bite with a whopper plopper or a spook can be good also on main lake points with rock that has any wind on it. Shad spawn should be going possibly so thats an option as well.
Good luck!

That is Memorial Weekend. Watch out for Big boats. You will have rollers coming out of nowhere after about 10am. Be safe, fun lake this time of year

Early morning, run main lake points with a jerkbait. Let the pleasure boats have at it after 11am. Shad spawn last few weeks so look for the birds and you'll never know what you'll catch.

Thank you both. I was on PK trying to fish during one of those Trump boat rallies. Man It was a nightmare. So I can imagine It gets bad on Texoma also.

Don't forget smaller swim baits like the keitech swing impact or similar....these are deadly in the shad spawn off points.

You think the Shad spawn will still be going with this warm weather?

Appreciate all this info as well. We are going in June and I’ve only ever caught crappie with a guide there. We are just going to catch whatever will tug on the line other than catfish.
If you ain't first you're last.

Thanks for bumping this. I’ll be there this Saturday. Plan to fish all South stuff near Eisenhower state park area. My 12 year old son and I are staying there Friday night then fishing Saturday.
Any updated tips would be awesome.
