We fished Lake Conroe this past weekend. On Friday we ended the day with 31 cats to 4 lbs. On Monday we ended the day with 35 cats to 3.5 lbs. Our boat rule is no catfish under 14 inches to be kept. All fish were caught in 3 ft of water using CJs shad punch bait under cork. Both days were off the water by 11AM.
what part of the lake were you fishing? I ordered some of the CJs and going out this weekend, plan to bring the catfish rods. I've been launching at Cagle but this time was planning to launch at Annie's to avoid the ridiculous stumps up at the north end.
